Abena’s Silicone Foam Dressing features a soft silicone protective backing layer, absorbent foam, and core silicone oil technology. The protective backing is a highly breathable top layer that conforms to the skin while providing barrier protection from water and bacteria. The absorbent foam manages high levels of exudate which helps prevent maceration. The core silicone oil technology provides a gentle contact layer for fragile skin, and can be lifted and repositioned without losing its adherence. This triple-layer construction facilitates dynamic fluid management to provide the optimal moist wound environment, which helps promote faster wound closure. The dressing is comfortable, conformable, and can be cut to fit.
